What We do

COJECO continues its efforts directed towards achieving the Jewish communal goals of caring for those in need, strengthening bonds among the Jewish people, fostering Jewish identity and renewal, and providing support to grassroots communal organizations that offer quality social, cultural, religious, and educational programs.

COJECO has 3 main priorities:

1. To facilitate and aid its member organizations through grants, advocating on their behalf, providing logistical and financial support, connecting them to other potential funders, and providing support in implementation of programs and projects.

2. To provide effective advocacy and representation for the Russian-speaking Jewish Community.

3. To promote the integration of the American Jewish Community and the Russian-speaking Jewish Community through programs and initiatives. The programs and initiatives serve as a means to attract unaffiliated and affiliated Russian-speaking Jews of all ages to community work through Jewish education and community involvement.
