This unique experience encourages and enables the participants to join meaningful Jewish learning, celebrate their Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and bring the joy of Jewish living to their families.
The program empowers RSJ change makers to create their own community-building initiatives, with the support of a network of peers, educational workshops, one-on-one mentorship, and mini-grants for project implementation.

ITINERARY
DAY 1: MONDAY, DECEMBER 1st. ARRIVAL IN BUENOS AIRES
Arrival at Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza), transfer to accommodation at the 4* Novotel Hotel (or similar). First evening in Buenos Aires. Overnight in Buenos Aires.
DAY 2: TUESDAY, DECEMBER 2nd. CITY TOUR
After breakfast, we will begin our tour with a visit to the Plaza de la Memoria, a moving monument that pays tribute to the victims of the 1992 attack on the Israeli Embassy. We will then visit the Templo de la Libertad de la Reforma, one of the most beautiful synagogues in Argentina. We will continue to the AMIA (Argentine Israelite Mutual Association) headquarters in the traditional Once neighborhood, where we will take a tour that includes visits to synagogues, kosher restaurants, and typical local shops. To conclude the morning, we will head to the Templo de Paso, one of the most emblematic temples of the Jewish community in South America, renowned for its historical and architectural significance.
In the afternoon, we will see the Argentine National Congress, an imposing neo-classical building, and then visit the Recoleta Cemetery, famous for its mausoleums and tombs of important figures in Argentine history. We will conclude the tour with a stroll through the city’s historic center, home to the Casa Rosada, the seat of the Executive Branch, Plaza de Mayo, the epicenter of the country’s major political events, and the majestic Metropolitan Cathedral. We will see a memorial dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust, the terrorist attacks on the Israeli Embassy, and the bombing of the AMIA Jewish Community Center. In the evening, we will enjoy a tango show at the café Los Angelitos. Overnight in Buenos Aires.
DAY 3: WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3rd . VILLAGUAY – VILLA CLARA – DOMÍNGUEZ
Breakfast and departure for Villaguay, where we will visit the Jewish Colonies of Entre Ríos and learn about the legacy of Jewish immigration primarily from the Russian Empire. We will begin in Villa Clara with a visit to the synagogue, the local museum, and the Baron Hirsch Social House, spaces that reflect the community and spiritual life of the first Jewish settlers. We will also visit the old Cooperativa – Fondo Comunal (Communal Fund Cooperative) and the Banco Rural (Rural Bank), where we will learn about the history of the Jewish cooperation model that enabled the agricultural and social development of the colony. Then, we will head to Domínguez, where we will tour the old train station, the local museum, a traditional immigrant warehouse, and the first Jewish hospital in South America. These sights will allow us to explore the experiences of the first immigrants and the importance of these colonies in the history of the Argentine Jewish community. We will check in at a 3-star Gran Hotel (or similar). Overnight in Villaguay.
DAY 4: THURSDAY, DECEMBER 4th. BASAVILBASO: LUCIENVILLE COLONY – NOVIBUCO COLONY
After breakfast, we will travel to Lucienville Colony, in the town of Basavilbaso, one of the most representative Jewish colonies in Entre Ríos. There, we will visit the Tefila Moisés Synagogue, a symbol of the community’s spiritual legacy, and the Lucienville Library, which houses valuable historical records on Jewish life in the region.
Then, we will head to Novibuco Colony, home to the Centennial Monument, an emblematic site commemorating the 100 years of history of this pioneering community. We will enjoy lunch in Basavilbaso and begin our return to Buenos Aires. Our overnight stay will be at a 4-star Novotel Hotel (or similar). Overnight in Buenos Aires.
DAY 5: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 5th. EL CALAFATE
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to El Calafate. Arrival and accommodation at the 4* Posada Los Alamos Hotel (or similar). After check in, we will visit El Calafate, which includes a visit to the Glacier Museum. In the evening, we will celebrate Kabbalat Shabbat and enjoy Shabbat dinner at the restaurant in the Calafate hotel. Overnight in El Calafate.
DAY 6: SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6th. PERITO MORENO GLACIER WITH NAVIGATION
After breakfast, we will take a guided tour to Los Glaciares National Park to discover the Perito Moreno Glacier. (80 km from El Calafate). Along the way, we will walk through a lush mountain forest. We will then board a catamaran to sail the Rico Arm of Lake Argentino. During this fascinating trip we will see the blue walls of the Perito Moreno Glacier and its icebergs from about 300 meters away.
After lunch, we will have free time to observe the central, north, and south sides of the glacier—where gigantic blocks of ice constantly break off the glacier, producing deafening sounds that seem like they came from the center of the earth! Overnight in El Calafate.
DAY 7: SUNDAY, DECEMBER 7th. TORRES DEL PAINE
After breakfast, we will depart to Chile, bound for the impressive Torres del Paine National Park. Once inside the park, we will begin a panoramic tour of its stunning natural surroundings, explore its rich native flora and fauna, and spot llamas, guanacos, foxes, and majestic condors. During the journey, we will enjoy unforgettable views of Sarmiento Lagoon, Nordenskjold Lake, and the impressive Salto Grande Waterfall, framed by the mountain’s towering peaks, such as Almirante Nieto, Los Cuernos, and Paine Grande.
After lunch, we will walk along the beach of Grey Lake, where we can observe the magnificent glacier that gives the lake its name and the enormous icebergs that float to the shore, offering an unforgettable natural show. After the excursion, transfer back to El Calafate. Overnight in El Calafate.
DAY 8: MONDAY, DECEMBER 8th. BUENOS AIRES
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight to Buenos Aires.
Upon arrival, we will enjoy a city tour of the city’s most iconic neighborhoods. We will begin in Puerto Madero, one of the city’s most elegant and renovated neighborhoods. In Puerto Madero, old docks coexist with modern buildings, there are wide green spaces, and a waterfront with a perfect view of the city landscape along the river. We will see the Anne Frank Memorial– a bronze statue located in the Plaza Reina de Holanda. It was stolen in 2022 and reinstalled at the end of the same year. We will then head to the La Boca neighborhood, the birthplace of tango and folk art, a place full of bohemian spirit and intense cultural life. We will end the tour at Caminito, a colorful open-air street museum, famous for its multicolored painted houses, street performers, and vibrant atmosphere, a reflection of the soul of Buenos Aires. At the end of our program, we will enjoy a farewell dinner at the La Cabera Steakhouse. Transfer and accommodation at a 4-star Novotel Hotel (or similar). Overnight in Buenos Aires.
DAY 9: TUESDAY, DECEMBER 9th. RETURN
Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your return flight. End of the COJECO Jewish Argentina tour. If interested, you can continue a private tour with Jacob Shoshan in Brazil.
