Audrey David

Director, Generation R at Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan

Audrey David founded Generation R at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan in 2006 as an initiative for Russian-speakers in their 20's-40's. In the intervening years, the initiative has blossomed to encompass programs for children and families, ranging from weekly Shabbat Club class for Russian-speaking toddlers to large-scale annual events for RSJs such as Shabbat Na Kryshe, Shashlik in the Sukkah and the annual Russian-speaking families Purim Carnival. Adult programs for Russian-speakers include literary nights, film screenings, theatrical events, social gatherings, culinary programs, art exhibits, Jewish holiday programs and others. Audrey was the recipient of the JCC in Manhattan's 2015 Award for Staff Excellence. She was a 2016 Fellow at Paideia, the European Institute for Judaic Studies.
