Yelena Pogorelsky


Program coordinator, Jewish Parent Academy

Yelena has dedicated her non-profit career to initiatives that bring high-quality Jewish programs to Russian-speaking Jewish community. She led the first national camp program for teens from Russian-speaking Jewish families at Camp Tel Yehudah and was instrumental in shaping COJECO's Keystone Fellowship. Currently Yelena works with a groundbreaking grassroots organization in Southern Brooklyn; Jewish Parent Academy delivers top-notch non-denominational adult Jewish education to RSJ parents through a semester-long program and creates meaningful Jewish engagement opportunities for a wider community. Yelena holds MPA/MA degrees in Public Administration and Jewish Studies from NYU. She lives on Long Island with her husband and two young children.
