Adult B'nai Mitzvah Journey

COJECO is excited to launch a second cohort of Adult B’nai Mitzvah Journey, a program for Russian-speaking Jewish adults in New York! This unique experience encourages and enables the participants to join meaningful Jewish learning, celebrate their Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and bring the joy of Jewish living to their families.

BluePrint Fellowship

The program empowers RSJ change makers to create their own community-building initiatives, with the support of a network of peers, educational workshops, one-on-one mentorship, and mini-grants for project implementation.

B'nai Mitzvah RSJ Family Journey

A customized, year-long family program for Russian-speaking Jewish parents and their children leading up to Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

COJECO Virtual Academy of Jewish Heritage

The Virtual Academy of Jewish Heritage offers a series of top-notch Jewish and Israel-related educational sessions in English and Russian. Learn more on how to attend these free virtual lectures and help support the academy!

Celebrate Israel Parade!

We invite you to join COJECO and the Russian-speaking Jewish community of New York and New Jersey as we proudly march on NYC’s 5th Avenue in support of Israel. We welcome all RSJ community organizations and individuals to join and march together as one strong community.

Germany Close Up

Bringing Russian-speaking Jewish young adults on a 9-day educational trips to Germany to explore the past and present of Jewish life in Germany, and to experience modern Germany first hand.

Mordechai Tokarsky, National Director and Executive Vice President of JPF - RAJE Mordechai was born in St. Petersburg Russia and immigrated to the US as a child. He received his rabbinic ordination from RSA and served in a wide variety of Jewish professional roles focused on Jewish peoplehood education. In 2006, Mordechai became the founding director of RAJE and spearheaded both the development of the RAJE program model and its successful implementation. Mordechai is now working with Jerry W. Levin and the lay-leadership board of JPF - RAJE in implementing the vision of the organization in scaling the RAJE program both in the New York area and nationally.

Mission: The future of American Jewry rests in our ability to foster a strong Jewish Peoplehood identity among the increasing numbers of college students and young professionals who identify as Jews, but do not affiliate with or participate in the life of the Jewish community. Yet, while the need for effective Jewish Peoplehood education and engagement for this vital target population is readily apparent, few programming options exist which can offer an approach that is both effective and scalable.

JPF - RAJE was established to address this vital need. Specifically, our goal is to impact on four key areas of Jewish Peoplehood identity and affiliation among college students and young professionals of FSU background, significantly increasing the likelihood that our program participants would:

· affiliate with and be involved in the life of the Jewish community
· establish a Jewish household
· fulfill their spiritual needs through the study and practice of Judaism
· develop a strong connection to the State of Israel.
