Arts Against Antisemitism – NEW GRANT OPPORTUNITY
Project Proposals are due January 29, 2024
New Opportunity for Young Adults in the NYC area! Grants are now available for community projects promoting mutual respect and combating Antisemitism.
Now, more than ever, COJECO aims to amplify the voices of the Russian-speaking Jewish community against hate and Antisemitism. “Arts Against Antisemitism” will distribute mini-grants to Russian-speaking Jewish young adults (ages 25-45) who will use their creativity and passion to promote peace and fight the terrible plague of Antisemitism, share their personal Jewish journeys and engage other communities in the conversation. We seek projects that will strengthen the community, provide more education about Jewish culture and people, and create stronger bonds with other cultures, thus reducing the possibility of senseless hate and crimes.
Projects can utilize any creative medium and engage at least 50 community members. Possible formats may include but are not limited to workshop series, community exhibits, digital media projects, and performing arts.
Please submit a written proposal by January 29, 2024, outlining the following:
What is the goal of your project?
Which medium will your project utilize?
A detailed description of the project, including the target audience, project timeline, community engagement plan, and project outcomes.
What is the proposed project budget? Please provide a budget narrative, explaining the use of funds. Maximum grant amount – $4,000.
Applicant’s brief bio should include a focus on their past experiences with community projects with the selected project medium. Projects must be completed by the end of June 2024.
