Art Fairy Education comes to Generation R with a special, semester-long experiential art program. Children will be introduced to the works of famous and emerging Jewish artists, learning techniques for collage, painting, printmaking, and sculpture, among others, and will discover larger Jewish themes explored by each artist. Generation Я is an initiative at JCC Manhattan for Russian Jews created by Russian Jews. Sharing similar childhood and immigration experiences, Russian-speaking Jews (RSJs) in their 20s, 30s, and 40s create and experience programs that explore the dual nature of their identities as American Jews from Russian-speaking families.
