Torn delves into the controversy that developed surrounding the ‘KIDNAPPED’ poster campaign, a grassroots effort to raise awareness about the 240 hostages taken by Hamas on October 7, 2023. These posters became polarizing symbols, sparking intense clashes between pro-Israel and pro-Palestine activists. The film explores the motivations behind the activists and unravels the complexities of this ‘paper arm’ proxy war.

Following the screening of Torn, there will be a panel discussion featuring Nim Shapira, the film’s creator, the talented artists behind the impactful hostage posters, and the other participants from the movie who were interviewed in the film.
