Russian Shabbat Club ages 4-5,
Fridays, September 27 – December 13, 4:30-5:30PM

Now in its tenth year, this highly acclaimed weekly program explores the larger themes of Shabbat and concludes each week with candle-lighting, challah, and grape juice.
The class is taught in Russian by experienced early childhood educators and features music and movement, dramatic play, visual arts, storytelling, and much more!

Generation Я is an initiative at JCC Manhattan for Russian Jews created by Russian Jews. Sharing similar childhood and immigration experiences, Russian-speaking Jews (RSJs) in their 20s, 30s, and 40s create and experience programs that explore the dual nature of their identities as American Jews from Russian-speaking families.

COJECO was formed in 2001 as an umbrella organization for grassroots community organizations of Russian-speaking Jewish immigrants in New York to make their voices heard and respected. Today we represent over 30 such network organizations, including young adult leadership groups, Holocaust Survivors, professional associations, arts & culture organizations, and social justice groups.
