Alla Raykhman is a Program Manager at the New York chapter of the organization that connects teens to their Jewish identity, Israel, Zionism and a network of passionate activists - Club Z. Being a teenager in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine she went to the Jewish camp and joined the Jewish youth movement. The experience of being a leader at the Youth Club at JAFI formed her identity and connection with the Jewish community. Alla led projects focused on Jewish non-formal education and strengthening the connection with Israel. Alla emigrated to the United States together with her family in 2006. She holds a dual Masters in Metallurgical and Chemical Engineering. Alla worked as a Research Associate at National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine (NMetAU), as well as at NYU- Polytech. Settling in Brooklyn, NY she becomes passionate for developing a vibrant community for Russian Speaking Jews. As a co-leader at Mazel Day School Parent Association Alla organized a plethora of projects for a community of young Jewish families. She coordinated the Children’s Program at Limmud FSU 2016 and joined Programming Committee at Limmud FSU 2017, and continues to do so now. Raising a family with 3 children she sees the importance of educational and inspiring projects that would help families to incorporate Jewish legacy and connection to Israel into nurturing our next generation - the future of the Jewish nation.
Mission:
Our mission is to create a network of knowledgeable, articulate, and impassioned activists with a commitment to Zionism who advocate for Israel. We do that by providing a platform for today’s teens to grow into best people they can be and connecting them to the story of Israel and their place in that story.
