Roots Research Project

Project Roots enables Russian-speaking Jewish families conduct genealogical research and explore their family roots by accessing archives and materials in the US, Eastern Europe and former FSU with the assistance of a professional researcher.

BluePrint Fellowship

The program empowers RSJ change makers to create their own community-building initiatives, with the support of a network of peers, educational workshops, one-on-one mentorship, and mini-grants for project implementation.

B'nai Mitzvah RSJ Family Journey

A customized, year-long family program for Russian-speaking Jewish parents and their children leading up to Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

COJECO Virtual Academy of Jewish Heritage

The Virtual Academy of Jewish Heritage offers a series of top-notch Jewish and Israel-related educational sessions in English and Russian. Learn more on how to attend these free virtual lectures and help support the academy!

RJKrug

Interested in a unique Jewish learning program co-created by Russian-speaking Jewish families and leading Jewish educators? RJKrug, an Innovative Jewish Learning Program For Children and Parents, will soon begin its cohort for 2023-2024.

Germany Close Up

Bringing Russian-speaking Jewish young adults on a 9-day educational trips to Germany to explore the past and present of Jewish life in Germany, and to experience modern Germany first hand.

Nadya Drukker is the Executive Director of the Tanger Hillel at Brooklyn College. Nadya just can’t seem to leave Brooklyn College; she is now in her 19th year at Hillel (7th as Executive Director). She has a passion for Jewish life, Jewish community, Jewish identity, Jewish culture, Israel and social justice through a Jewish lens. When she's not building a framework for a vibrant Jewish campus life, Nadya enjoys travel and theater. She resides in Brooklyn with her husband and two sons.

Tanger Hillel seeks to inspire every Jewish student to make an enduring commitment to Jewish Life.

MISSION STATEMENT:

The Brooklyn College Hillel seeks to strengthen Jewish identity among the college's Jewish students; to sustain and develop their commitment to Israel; to increase understanding both between Jewish groups and between Jews and others; to foster a climate of tolerance through a pluralistic approach; to engage its students through Jewish learning opportunities, arts, culture, recreation and religious experience; to cultivate students’ participation in social action; and to utilize the resources of Jewish partner organizations and agencies, as well as those of the city. Tanger Hillel Board of Trustees supports these efforts by providing financial resources and fiscal, building, and program oversight in conformity with governance standards established by the International Hillel Center.
