NJ Children Families Inter-generational Teens
Nina Faynberg has always been very involved in Jewish community life. Born and raised in Moscow, Russia, she was an active leader in the local community as she developed, implemented and facilitated various Jewish educational projects for children, teenagers and families. For many years she worked at Jewish summer camps, creating programs, training staff, and making the campers’ experience unforgettable and enjoyable. Nina likewise organized trips to the Baltic countries for Jewish young adults and teenagers. Nina has Master’s Degree in Teaching and English from Moscow Pedagogical University, and currently lives in Brooklyn with her husband and son.
Mission: COJECO is the central coordinating body of the Russian-speaking Jewish community of New York, formed in 2001 as an umbrella for Russian-speaking Jewish grassroots organizations in New York. COJECO supports 33 member organizations, advocates for the needs of the Russian-speaking Jewish community, and offers unique community programs, all in service of our mission: to facilitate the successful the integration of Russian-speaking Jews into the greater American Jewish community, while preserving our unique cultural heritage.
