Vladimir Foygelman


President & CEO, Center Makor

Vladimir Foygelman graduated from Kiev Regional College of Culture and Arts in 1982 and from Kiev University of Arts and Culture in 1989 with Master Degree by choreography and administration for community and sports centers. Vladimir immigrated to the USA in1996. In 2005 with help of CJP, SCM and other Jewish organizations in Boston Vladimir established the Jewish Educational & Cultural Center “MAKOR” and became its President &CEO.

Mission: The Mission of the Center Makor
is to stimulate and grow a strong Jewish identity through enthusiasm for the Jewish culture among the Russian Speaking Jews and integration with the mainstream Jewish community in Massachusetts.

COJECO was formed in 2001 as an umbrella organization for grassroots community organizations of Russian-speaking Jewish immigrants in New York to make their voices heard and respected. Today we represent over 30 such network organizations, including young adult leadership groups, Holocaust Survivors, professional associations, arts & culture organizations, and social justice groups.
