Yelena was born in Ukraine and moved to US in 2002. 1996-1999 was studies in Israel (NAALE16) After graduation moved back to Ukraine and worked in Sokhnut with teens as educator. After moving to US was working as HR specialist. Since 2018 working as program director at Camp Gesher, the only overnight camp for RSJ kids at west coast.

COJECO was formed in 2001 as an umbrella organization for grassroots community organizations of Russian-speaking Jewish immigrants in New York to make their voices heard and respected. Today we represent over 30 such network organizations, including young adult leadership groups, Holocaust Survivors, professional associations, arts & culture organizations, and social justice groups.
