COJECO is excited to launch a second cohort of Adult B’nai Mitzvah Journey, a program for Russian-speaking Jewish adults in New York! This unique experience encourages and enables the participants to join meaningful Jewish learning, celebrate their Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and bring the joy of Jewish living to their families.
The program empowers RSJ change makers to create their own community-building initiatives, with the support of a network of peers, educational workshops, one-on-one mentorship, and mini-grants for project implementation.
A customized, year-long family program for Russian-speaking Jewish parents and their children leading up to Bar/Bat Mitzvah.
The Virtual Academy of Jewish Heritage offers a series of top-notch Jewish and Israel-related educational sessions in English and Russian. Learn more on how to attend these free virtual lectures and help support the academy!

Bringing Russian-speaking Jewish young adults on a 9-day educational trips to Germany to explore the past and present of Jewish life in Germany, and to experience modern Germany first hand.
We have launched a successful program for adults, children, teens, and families in Northern New Jersey, in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey.

Sunday, January 18th
Afternoon:
– Arrival and check-in at the Metropolitan Hotel in Tel Aviv.
– Optional tour: Old Jaffa from an unusual perspective
– Dinner at the hotel and opening of the program.
Monday, January 19th
Breakfast at the hotel
– Visit to the area of the events of October 7th (Sderot, Nova Festival, Tkuma)
– Meeting with the leadership of the southern city of Ashkelon impacted by the constant shelling
– Meeting with the Russian-speaking families impacted by October 7th tragedy
– Return to Tel Aviv
Tuesday, January 20th
Breakfast at the hotel
– Departure to Jerusalem: getting to know the city from a new angle
– Visit to the Knesset- Israel’s Parliament and meeting with Russian-speaking MK
– Meeting and discussion with RSJ community spiritual leaders
– Informal evening with the RSJ grassroots organization Shishi Shabbat Israeli
– Return to hotel in Tel Aviv
Wednesday, January 21st
Breakfast at the hotel
– Morning: discussion of the geopolitical situation in the Middle East with the popular journalist, politician, and one of the leading experts on the Arab world and Arab-Israeli relations, Ksenia Svetlova
– Day of Volunteering
Evening: Meeting with representatives of Israel’s culture and business,
Visit the Gesher Theater and meet with its director Roi Chen.
Thursday, January 22nd
Breakfast at the hotel
–Head off to the Israel’s northern border with Syria and Lebanon
– Meeting at the local kibbutz with residents who recently returned from the evacuation
– Volunteering
– Return to Tel Aviv
– Festive concluding dinner
Friday, January 23rd
Breakfast and closing of the program
Please note: the itinerary is subject to change.
Program Cost: Double room occupancy (two people in the room)- $ 1,545; Single room (one person in the room) – $ 2,059. Scholarships are available.
Included: 5 nights at the Metropolitan Hotel in Tel-Aviv, breakfasts at the hotel, dinner on the first night and dinner on the last night of the program, bus and tour guide, program.
Not included: Flights, all other lunches and dinners, entry tickets outside the program, medical and travel insurance.
