As the war in Ukraine rages on, our community is welcoming more refugees from Ukraine every day. COJECO has been working tirelessly to help people impacted by the War in Ukraine to resettle in New York and New Jersey. We ask that you join our effort – donate, volunteer, advocate. May all people treat each other with respect and may we all enjoy peace!

UJA-Federation of New York – Network Agencies and resources
In New York UJA is supporting refugees with case management, emergency cash assistance, summer camp scholarships, legal services, and more. Organizations on the ground are: Camp Zeke, Edith and Carl Marks Jewish Community House of Bensonhurst, the Jewish Board, NYLAG, Usdan, Westchester Jewish Coalition for Immigration.

Legal Information Network for Ukraine (LINU)
Legal information for those displaced by the war in Ukraine who are seeking to enter or remain in the United States. As part of their mission, they aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the current legal process and outline available options. Svitlo

Svitlo is a US-based non-profit bringing information transparency and resource coordination to the Ukrainian refugee resettlement effort across a complex landscape of government and nonprofit organizations.
For Ukrainians seeking refuge in the US, Svitlo identified essential stages of your newcomer journey and mapped a clear path for their first steps. Organization’s relationships with a wide network of state-level government agencies and nonprofits ensure the trustworthiness of the information they bring.
For other organizations in the refugee support space, Svitlo focus on information and data-sharing and the reduction of duplicate efforts. For more information please visit Svitlo’s website.

Lenonid Foundation

Leonid Foundation is a non-profit organization with a mission to respond to the current crisis in Ukraine by shipping humanitarian aid to Ukraine via vetted networks of non-profit organizations and volunteers, and help Ukrainian refugees who come into the central NJ area.
The organization directly supports Ukrainian refugees by filing paperwork with appropriate local, state, and federal agencies; and supplying refugees regardless of status with furniture and bedding, household items and cleaning supplies, hygiene items and food.

ICanHelp.Host

ICanHelp.Host is a solidarity platform created by a dedicated team of volunteers in response to the humanitarian crisis caused by Russian military aggression against Ukraine.
They are connecting people fleeing the war in Ukraine with people around the globe who can offer a place to stay.

Register to provide free places to stay to Ukrainians fleeing the war or find a temporary free home anywhere in the world.
